Advocacy or awareness raising projects that fall within or cross-cut between the project types described here below, are eligible for CEF support:

• Activities that aim at voicing environmental concerns and facilitating local influence and awareness on policy and planning issues related to environment/sustainable at national, regional or international level e.g. Natural Resource Management (NRM) and International Coastal Zone Management (ICZM).
• Activities aimed at sensitising local communities on their role and responsibility as managers and monitors of natural resources, ecosystems, habitats, public institutions and private companies in their community. 
• Activities aimed at raising the general awareness and facilitating the sharing of knowledge on NRM, upcoming laws and legislation, general environmental issues and sound environmental practices in daily life.
• Activities focusing on the sharing and spreading of information and collection of communities’ views to ensure that discussions take place between communities, policy-makers and NGOs at a national, regional and international level.
