Community Development Trust Fund (CDTF) is a joint initiative of the Government of Kenya and the European Union with the objective to contribute to poverty alleviation in the country by offering support, in form of grants, to community-based projects which address social, economic and environment priorities.

To contribute to poverty reduction among the poor communities countrywide by enabling them to have access to social and economic services, improved livelihoods and employment opportunities.

To support communities in Kenya in their efforts to alleviate poverty through effective and accountable processes that are genuinely demand-driven; build on sustainable development initiatives; and to promote collaboration with other key development players.
